Though color choice was important for them, the material selections took a very high priority. From front the back, the shoe features a nubuck toe cap, perforated pig skin toe box and side panels, patent leather striped overlaying 3M reflective material, finishing off with ballistic mesh on the tongue and ankle collar.

Limited to 250 pairs, the Nice Kicks x Asics Gel Lyte III will be available in October instore and online at DavidZ.com for $105.

Nicki Minaj x Honey Mag.

Ms. Minaj recently sat down with Honeymag.com, “Nicki Minaj is known for her slow wine. She’s mastered it. A perfect ménage — languid, sex-soaked, and hypnotic. But we’re talking delivery, not dancehall, folks. The Queens native spits a sweet sixteen. Her lyrics — fun and flirty, and a foot past suggestive — may rival her male counterparts’ but it’s that sex-kitten purr that allows her to grind in her own lane.

After making some noise on Wayne’s I Am Music tour with the rest of his Young Money crew, the former MySpace/mixtape mistress is ready for her major label debut. And we’re amped like an electric guitar. Honey’s favorite Harajuku Barbie stepped away from the studio to play dress up (or dress down), snap a few flicks, and rap about her upcoming album. Just call us wine enthusiasts.”

THE HUNDREDS!

Now in its 6TH year, The Hundreds is a 2-part lifestyle project that houses both a clothing line and online-magazine. Co-founded by Ben and Bobby Hundreds in 2003, both ends of The Hundreds incorporate our trademark attitude and personal perspective on street subculture.

The Hundreds apparel is inspired by LOS ANGELES LIFESTYLE / CALIFORNIA CULTURE and Southern California’s skateboarding, surf, punk, and hip-hop cultures. The design is also reminiscent of 1980s surf-culture t-shirts, independent skateboard company apparel of the 1990s, and the advent of “streetwear” at the end of the millennium. The line is comprised of graphic t-shirts, denim, wovens, fleece, outerwear, headwear, and accessories. In late 2008, The Hundreds also launched a shoe program monikored The Hundreds Footware. And in 2009, The Hundreds’ optical program, The Hundreds Eyeware, debuted to the public.
To date, The Hundreds has worked on special collaborative projects with globally-recognized brands like Disney, SE BMX, DeLorean Motor Co., Forum Snowboards, Casio G-Shock, eS, Gravis, Medicom, and individual artists and designers such as David Choe, Jun Cha, Tofer, Robbie Conal, Angelyne, H2O, Kurupt, Craola, Avail, and Usugrow.
The Hundreds product is sold in limited quantities in the world’s most prestigious streetwear and skate boutiques and has also been featured as a cover story in such media as the Los Angeles Times, New York Times Magazine, Antenna, Giant Robot, KoreAm, MuchMusic Television, and Inc. Magazine.

Currently, The Hundreds is stocked in over 400 accounts in every major city of the world. This includes The Hundreds' first flagship retail location in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, and the second The Hundreds store in San Francisco's Union Square.

THE RUBBER PLAYA FLURO WATCH x NIXON

Nixon is a company that always seems to be unafraid to take some risks when it comes to the styling and colors they unveil in the watch department. This time is no different with their Peach Rubber Playa FLURO Watch. According to Nixon, the breakdown of this new watch is as follows:
“The Rubber Playa FLURO Watch features a 3 hand Japanese quartz movement, a custom 100 meter molded silicon with stainless steel skeleton, a hardened mineral crystal and triple gasket crown, and a custom molded silicon band with packaged locking looper and stainless steel buckle.”

It all basically breaks down to an unique take on one of their most popular watches, which might not make it an everyday go to type of watch, but a super flashy conversation starter and a welcome limited release addition to any watch collection.
Available for purchase at Nixon & Karmaloop.

JIGGA MAN [STYLE GUIDE] x VMA

Jay-Z might not be the most stylish rapper in the game, but somehow, someway, dude always manages to look fly. We guess that’s what happens when your bank statements look like the population of a small country. Take the outfit he rocked at this year’s drama filled VMA’s (how you feelin’, Lil Mama?). Choosing to renege on his decision to stay in all black and to stop wearing Timberlands (what’s next? A T-Pain collabo?), Hov dons a classic Americana look: vintage denim, denim jacket, leather vest and, of course, the NY Yankee fitted. We’ve already showed you how to get his all-black everything look, now read on to learn how to get a tweaked version of his award show style…Read more: http://www.complex.com/blogs/2009/09/16/how-to-dress-like-jay-z-at-the-vmas/#ixzz0RiuFcLQy

THE VAN DOREN RUBBER COMPANY :: Pt1

Paul Van Doren was born in 1930 and grew up in the Boston Area. When he reached the eigth grade, he realized he didn't like school and promptly left. Paul’s mother couldn’t stand he wasn’t working or going to school. She dragged him into the shoe factory where she worked and got him a job making shoes and sweeping the factory floor. 50 Best Nike Dunks of All Time

These are just a few based on Quality and availability..It’s September, which means back to school time is upon us. And what sneaker is more appropriate for school than the Nike Dunk? In 1985, Nike released the original Dunk Hi sneaker to heavy-match with the uniforms of top-tier college basketball teams. Now, 24 years later, we’ve seen everyone from graffiti artists and super brands to cool-guy stores and rock bands put their spin on the iconic silhouette.
The sneaker is Nike’s canvas, and while we’re sure you’ve bought a bunch in your lifetime, we’re hoping you bought some of the right ones. With the spirit of the kids going back to the books, we put together a master list of what we felt are the 50 Best Nike Dunks Of All Time—minus SBs (that list is coming later, so don’t try to do it first!). See which styles made the cut, and have fun strolling down memory lane after the jump. Bape Fall Wood Land Pack

For Fall of this year, Bape’s put together a 4-sneaker collection, dubbed the “Wood Land Pack,” including 4 pairs of Bape Stas.
Three of the pairs use natural tones, driving home the woodland idea concept. Included in the pack is a brown and tan set, a brown, green, tan and black pair, a black and grey combo and a fourth colorway that breaks from the others’ general theme. The fourth, as you can see, is a combination of bright yellow, lime green, pink and orange–a look we’re more accustomed to seeing from the Japanese brand. All four feature the company logo on the outer heel, and are built from leather, with no patent in site. With such wide variety off appeal in this one pack, is there a pair (or two or three or four) that you must have?
